Ange Postecoglou revealed he was only informed about what a GIF was this week after a GIF of the Celtic manager went viral after the St Mirren game.

Sky Sports cameras caught the moment the Celtic gaffer reacted to Cameron Carter-Vickers rogue pass in Paisley. Trying to get the American’s attention, Ange had a stern looking face and when the defender looked over Ange gave him a cheeky smile.

Speaking at the Hearts pre-match press conference on Tuesday, Ange revealed Celtic’s chief media officer Iain Jamieson was the man who explained the GIF before the presser.

“Is that the GIF you were just showing me?” Postecoglou laughed. “I just got an education from Iain (Jamieson) on what a GIF is.

On his sense of humour, Ange replied:

“Yeah, look, I’m a human being and I like to think I’ve got a sense of humour, my mates tell me I’m pretty funny.

“But don’t be mistaken I’m not in the dressing room pulling pranks and giggling in the corner at others’ misfortunes, we’re human beings and I think the only one as surprised as me was Cameron himself at the pass he made in that moment.”

It was a funny moment during a second half where Celtic had run riot on St Mirren. The bhoys were 1-0 down at the break but would go onto win the tie 5 goals to 1.

The bhoys are set to take on the Jambos at Celtic Park on Wednesday evening. If they can overcome the Edinburgh outfit, they will be at least nine points ahead in the league with ten games to go. The goal difference is also an extra point at this juncture.

Ange does have a funny side that we’ve witnessed first hand during fan media pressers. He is stern with his players though and is more old school when it comes to keeping the players at arms length.
