CELTIC have a great team of coaches, from the first team, to the reserves and the Women’s team.

On Saturday evening B Team coach Darren O’Dea and Women’s head Coach Fran Alonso took to social media to celebrate gaining their UEFA Pro-licence.

The pair have been studying for the past two years to gain the coaching badge that will set them up well for the next stages of their career.

Fran has been brilliant for the Celtic women’s team, the Spaniard’s energy and passion for the game is so infectious. He won a cup double with the ghirls last term but is still chasing the elusive SWPL title.

Darren has been at the club and learning for some time now. The departure of Tommy McIntyre saw Darren promoted and put alongside Stephen McManus in the Celtic B team. Both men have come through the ranks at Celtic in years gone by and are now tasked with building up the next generation
