Sadiku, who joined Celtic in January, made an immediate impact by guiding the team to their first-ever SWPL title. Her leadership saw the Hoops edge Rangers to the trophy on goal difference in a dramatic final-day showdown.
Gallacher’s contributions throughout the season were pivotal, culminating in her late winner against Hibernian on the last day of the campaign. The 1-0 victory ensured Celtic clinched the title in dramatic fashion, narrowly beating Rangers on goal difference.
The prolific forward ended the season as Celtic’s top scorer, netting 25 goals, and was instrumental in the team’s attacking success. Her performances consistently set the tone for Celtic’s title charge, making her a worthy recipient of the Player of the Year honour.
The double recognition at the SWPL Awards highlights the progress Celtic Women have made, with Sadiku and Gallacher leading the charge in what has been a transformative year for the club.
