ANGE POSTECOGLOU has delivered a double injury boost for Celtic fans ahead of the next phase of pre-season.

The Hoops played out a 3-3 draw against Rapid Vienna on Saturday but did so without Josip Juranovic or Anthony Ralston.

Ange allowed Osaze Urhoghide to play at right back in their absence but the defender didn’t have the best game.

Hoops fans knew Josip Juranovic would most likely miss the Rapid game but there was no word on Anthony Ralston. Ange Postecoglou cleared up the mystery by confirming both will be available for Wednesday:

Ange told The Glasgow Times: “Tony got a knock on Friday and just wasn’t 100 per cent for the match so we erred on the side of caution. He should be fine for Wednesday.

“Josip is fine, he trained fully on Saturday morning, but he missed the first part of the week so we are trying to get all the guys into a programme where they do a bit of work before we expose them to game time.”

Celtic have four more games to in pre-season before the Celtic Park opener against Aberdeen where the Scottish Champions will unfurl the flag.

Josip missed the end of last season after picking up an injury in the Scottish Cup semi final. The Right-back managed to play for Croatia over the summer and as Ange said, he’ll likely be involved going forward this pre-season.

Josip has been linked with a move away from the club this summer. However, the Celtic defender has shown no real signs he wants to leave Glasgow.
