LENNOXTOWN seemed to be the focal point for all the news coming out of Celtic today.

There was good and bad news on the injury front; Forrest could be out for a ‘period of time’ while Kieran Tierney started training again, although not with the full squad. Boyata and Ntcham also were back training, and Dedryck could make a quicker return to action as soon as Wednesday against Hibernian.

The bigger news coming out of Lennoxtown is two players training with the first team squad which will be of interest to every supporter.

Karamoko Dembele AND Armstrong Oko-Flex were both put through their paces today with the rest of the first team squad. Brendan Rodgers is not shy about giving youngsters a peek into first-team proceedings if they think they need or deserve the opportunity and both talented youngsters did not look out of place as they trained with the team. Is Rodgers dropping a hint he could play either of them for the first team shortly?

Dembele would have to wait until his 16th birthday at the end of February for a debut.

Also Lennoxtown noteworthy – Celtic’s €2million signing is set to join up with his teammates well before pre-season in the summer with the player pencilled to come into the club in April after the Ukranian season has ended. Rodgers told the express: “He will then come back to Scotland around April and get involved with the training before being ready to go in the summer.”
