According to L’Equipe, Celtic are very interested in Toulouse defender Christopher Jullien.

The report claims the Scottish Champions have already given the 26-year-old a ‘tour of the facilities’ in recent times and are now weighing up their next move.

At 6ft 4″ the Frenchman is exactly the type of solid defender the club need going into next season after losing Boyata and Benkovic this summer.

If reports are true the player won’t come cheap with Transfermarkt currently valuing the player at €6m and L’Equipe claiming a bid between €8-10m would be needed.

The report reads:

26-year-old Toulouse central defender Christopher Jullien is attracting strong interest from Scottish champions Celtic.

The 26-year-old has not yet made a decision on his future destination, but he has recently visited the facilities of the Scottish giants.

To sway the Toulouse board, Celtic will have to offer between €8m and €10m to sign the player who is under contract until 2021.

Celtic have no time to mess about in the transfer market with games coming thick and fast in the next two months. They kick off their Champions League qualifiers in July and will be busy most midweeks the further they get into the competition.

A defender is desperately needed and could Christopher be the man?

The defender made 35 appearances for Toulouse last term.
