EBT Eck, or Alex McLeish to others has egg on his face this morning after telling Anderlecht to target Dedryk Boyata as he was Celtic’s ‘weak link’.

Much has been made of Boyata since coming back into the fold in January but he’s hardly put a foot wrong to elicit such a comment from anyone commentating on Scottish football.

However, instead of trying to talk up Celtic or the Scottish game, the former manager of the EBT XI was more concerned how Anderlecht could break down Celtic.

On the night, Celtic ran out 3-0 winners against the Belgian Champions and Dedryk Boyata was one of the coolest guys in Brussels as he and Jozo Simunovic handled anything that came their way.

Maybe we’re starting to understand why McLeish is unemployed these days.
