Eddie Howe has reportedly told Celtic to make their move for three Bournemouth staff, after meeting with the club in the last 24 hours.

The appointment of the Englishman appears to be edging ever closer, as he looks to make up his backroom staff by bringing in Stephen Purches, Simon Weatherstone and Richard Hughes.

According to the Daily Record, Howe reportedly met with Celtic chiefs in the last 24 hours to outline his plans of bringing in Purches and Weatherstone as part of the coaching team and Hughes as chief scout.

With Hughes being linked to the role of chief scout in the report, it also leaves the question as to if there will be an appointment in the Director of Football/Technical Director role.

Of course, a few months ago Fergal Harkin was linked with the role but that seems to have gone quiet. Once again though, it seems like a real possibility it could happen again.

This saga has been ongoing for weeks now. Fingers crossed we are getting closer to the end and will see the appointment of Eddie Howe as next permanent manager of the club in the coming days.
