Odsonne Edouard was asked about his current transfer situation with Celtic and his ambitions for the future.

It’s no secret to Celtic fans that Eddy will head off somewhere for big money in the future but keeping him for this season was always the goal.

We still have a January transfer window to negotiate but from what we understand, there’s no plans in place fit a mid-season move.

The French striker gave an honest answer, admitting he wants to move to a higher ‘league’ not club, in the future.

He did make sure to reiterate his commitment to Celtic until that day comes:

“I’ve been here for three years, and for sure when the time comes I’ll think about leaving, look for a higher league.” Edouard told French TV as cited by The Daily Record.

“Right now I’m focused on this season and when the right time comes I’ll make the decision to go.”

Celtic are in a battle to be crowned champions for a tenth consecutive season. If they do manage the feat, they will become legends.

Neil Lennon and his men know they do have a big fight on their hands.

Edouard is yet to properly get going this season. Supporters are desperate to see the striker get back to his best for the games coming up.

Eddy with a little bit of magic could spark Celtic’s title charge in the coming months.
