ODSONNE EDOUARD has posted a message on social media this afternoon after it was confirmed the Celtic striker had returned a positive COVID-19 test.

The player was joining up with his French teammates for the under 21s when the positive result came back. The Celtic star is now isolating in France and will follow all protocols ahead of his return to Celtic next week.

We’re unsure if this would affect his chances of playing in the Glasgow Derby but he wouldn’t;t be allowed to train with the rest of the team – even if he’s eligible to play next Saturday.

It’s great to hear that he’s fine, which seems to suggest he’s not exhibiting strong symptoms from contracting the virus.

Celtic are holding their breath and are hopeful Edouard’s positive test has been found AFTER he left the Celtic squad on Sunday. The club have been at the forefront of testing and have stringent measures in place to ensure their players are monitored.

  1. I read that most cases of covid-19 take 2 or 4 or 6 days to show up, and if you are not showing any symptoms even track and trace test can not tell if you have covid-19.
Look if kids at school get covid-19 they are sent home with all the others they had contact with to do self-isolating the rest stay in school…
