NEIL LENNON has revealed he will leave it until the last minute before deciding whether Celtic duo Odsonne Edouard and Nir Bitton travel to France.

Celtic are up against a very good Lille side on Thursday night in the Europa League. However, the Celtic manager isn’t going to rush anyone back if they’re not ready.

Both players contracted the virus and have been trying to recover their fitness after isolation and getting over any symptoms they had.

Speaking to CelticTV, the Celtic manager gave this update: Odsonne has trained for the last few days and Nir also trained, although his sessions are a little bit modified.

“We’ll see how they are on Wednesday, but I’m hoping they will both be fit to travel.

“It’s a welcome boost having Odsonne back, but I’m not expecting him to hit the ground running. The same goes for Nir.

“We’re getting a few bodies back now so the squad is starting to look stronger again.”

Celtic need to be ready for the challenge of Lille, they are a well oiled machine and will prove tough opponents on the night.

A place on the bench might be best for Eddy if he does travel with the squad. Celtic have a semi-final against Aberdeen on Sunday where he could start if he comes through the next few days ok.

Leigh Griffiths could be pushing for a start against the French side after coming on and sparking Celtic late on against Aberdeen at Pittodrie.
