Odsonne Edouard is certainly someone who is fond of a Scottish Cup final.

During his time at the club, this will be his first year that he isn’t involved in a cup final, having played a key part in Celtic’s last two against Hearts.

Somehow though, the Frenchman appears to have made his way into St Johnstone’s starting line-up or at least that is if you are to go of BBC Scotland’s line-up graphics before the game.

We knew that the Saints Covid situation was bad last week, in need of players but getting Edouard in time is a terrific signing ahead of the cup final.

In all seriousness, this is, of course, a funny mistake to make. Some would have been either shocked or confused to see the 23-year olds name pop up on that graphic.

Celtic’s four-year dominance of the competition will also be coming to an end this afternoon.

Without Edouard, St Johnstone will be looking to lift a domestic cup double of their own. Whereas Hibs, the last winners of the trophy apart from Celtic, will be looking to lift the cup at Hampden again.
