Celtic was reportedly in advanced talks with PSG’s Edouard Michut during the week, but Ange played down the possible transfer, ruling a possible move out.

It was obvious Ange Postecoglou was aware of the player. He commented on the midfielder, saying, “Good player, but no” [The National], indicating that he was an option for Celtic.

PSG has set their asking for the 19-year-old, telling clubs interested in the player they’d need to fork out £5 million. It’s likely that the French club would also insert a high sell-on clause into a deal, with the player having bags of potential.

Sevilla, Nice and Toulouse are also keen on signing the player, stiff competition for the Scottish Champions.

Celtic Priced out of Michut Deal

Celtic has clearly explored the possibility of signing the young player but has ultimately been priced out of a deal.

The club will turn their attention elsewhere, with bringing in a midfielder a priority for the Australian manager.
