Journalist John McGarry has shed some light on Edouard’s sell-on fee on Tuesday’s Huddle Podcast.

The Journo was asked by former Celt Mark Wilson if the Frenchman’s sell-on clause to PSG was 40% like many outlets have claimed.

McGarry replied:

“I don’t think it’s as high as that but I think it’s higher as normal.

“The club had a chance during Edouard’s loan period to get him for a reduce sell-on fee and hesitated

“I think it’s in the region of 25-30%”

Celtic are more than likely to sell the striker after this season. Eddy has one-year left on his deal when this season comes to an end and doesn’t look likely to sign a new deal.

The Hoops have to get top dollar for the frontman so they can make a clear profit on Edouard. PSG getting every 25-30% of the fee means they can’t settle for a £15m offer.

Celtic fans are currently still waiting on the club to show their hand and only then we can begin to look forward.

We’ve lost the league, we’ve been poor. Having an interim manager and an outgoing chief exec isn’t conducive to looking to the future.
