Odsonne Edouard swatted away any question put to him about potentially leaving Celtic after the media went gung ho on the rumours over the past week.

The Frenchman was asked if he wanted to follow in Moussa’s footsteps as well as being asked if he’d need to leave Celtic to get into the French first team.

“I’m really happy for Moussa, he’s a great friend of mine. He deserves it, he works hard and has a lot of potential.” He told CelticTV.

“Each player has his own career and his own path. I’m happy with his path but I’ve got my own path. “

When asked about a potential £30m move to Napoli his response was perfect.

“I didn’t know about that to be honest, I am a Celtic player, I have a long contract. I’m really happy with the setup here, I get to play with my friends for the team.

“The main thing is I’m a Celtic Player and I’m happy to be a Celtic player.”

Edouard was fielding questions from the media as he accepted his player of the month award. The strikers award making it a double for Celtic in August with Neil Lennon picking up manager of the month.

These questions will unfortunately be more common for the striker has he continues to impress.

We know Eddy isn’t here forever but the amount of journalists trying to get him to say he wants to leave Celtic or would think about it is very telling.

Edouard heads back to France with Celtic this week as the bhoys take on Rennes in the Europa League. The frontman will want to impress!
