Efe Ambrose has come out saying he does not want to leave Celtic after rumours last week suggested he would be moving on.
The acrobatic defender has had an up and down time at Celtic, with the highs of beating Barcelona (Yes, he played in that famous game) to the lows of being culpable for two goals against Fernabace that robbed the team of a precious Europa League win.
Efe can and has put in solid performances for Celtic in the past but the mistakes he makes at pivotal times leaves some Celtic fans pulling out their hair and at this point no matter what he does his calamities will outweigh his good performances.
However, the Nigerian wants to keep going with Celtic and has fallen in love with the club.
“Celtic is a place I really love – and I want to be part of it. There no place like home – and Celtic is home for me.
Speaking about when he first came to Celtic he has become overawed with the club and is proud to represent it.
“Since I arrived at Celtic I knew I’d never been anywhere like this before. I knew I had to work very hard to earn the honour of playing for this club, to wear the green and white of Celtic.
“I want to help the club, to improve every day so I can make a contribution.”
One thing you can certainly say about Efe, he is a likeable and even lovable character, there is no doubting his commitment but Ronny Deila used him often and sometimes to his detriment, can Brendan Rodgers afford to do the same?
Efe nae harm to U your commitment can never be questioned but the best thing u can do for the club is to move on get is a few quid HH
