Recently relegated English Premier League side Sheffield United will remain firm in their stance of selling players; after last night, it was reported that Celtic are interested in right-back George Baldock.

In recent weeks, United have left several clubs frustrated in their pursuit of players such as Sander Berga and Aaron Ramsdale as they remain firm on the fact that a player will only leave if an offer is too good to turn down.

As reported by YorkshireLive, this stance will be the same for Baldock, who is subject to interest once again by the Hoops.

This isn’t the first time Celtic has looked to move for the 28-year old right-back.

Baldock was reportedly targetted back in 2019 as a possible replacement to Mikael Lustig and now finds himself high up in the club’s estimations in the chase for the right-back position again.

The report doesn’t state exactly how much the Blades will be looking for in this deal. One thing is for sure, though, as a first-team regular in the side, if Celtic are to make a move, it will likely return a heavy profit from signing him back in 2017 from MK Dons for just £300,000.
