Mohamed Elyounoussi spoke to TV2 ahead of Norway’s fixtures this week as he sat down with fellow Celtic teammate Kristoffer Ajer.
The winger has a had a good start to life at Celtic after coming in on-loan from Southampton near the end of August. The winger is settling down to life in Glasgow and is getting used to the physicality the game up in Scotland brings.
One thing he was full of praise for was his team-mate Kristoffer Ajer, the loan star believes the defender is going places and doesn’t believe Celtic can keep him a secret for much longer.
Asked if he sees a Premier League move for Ajer in the future – Elyounoussi conceded it would be hard to keep the centre-back at Celtic and that he’s already good enough for the rigours of English football.
“We’ll see how long we keep Kristoffer. He’s been here a couple of years and done extremely well. I expect to see him in a bigger club in a bigger league. From what I have seen on him in the past and now on a daily basis and in combat, he is more than good enough for the Premier League.”
There’s no doubt Celtic can’t hold onto Ajer foreever but many Celtic fans hope the player will be around for at least the next two seasons at a minimum. Ajer is still young and developing his game. This season his form has dipped and there’s no better place to get back to his best.
