Celtic midfielder Stefan Johansen is set to leave the Scottish Champions after Brendan Rodgers CONFIRMED he was in advance talks with Fulham.

The Norweigan midfielder who had a standout first full season at Celtic under Ronny Deila and won player of the year has found any sort of form hard to come by the last 12 months.

He is now in the last year of his contract and expressed a strong interest in leaving the club for a new challenge. The Celtic manager has now confirmed that Celtic have hammered out a deal in the region of £2million for the player and he expects Stefan to leave in the coming days.

“Stefan is in the last year of his contract. I’ve found him a good guy.

“It’s been difficult as he’s been unable to reach an agreement with the club.

“Opportunity has come for him and it’s one that works well for both.

“Not complete yet but could happen in the next few days.”
