CELTIC have a lot of success stories with youngsters coming through to the first team. James Forrest, Callum McGregor and Kieran Tierney are all massive first team players for the club.

The club employs so many players from such a young age, trying to make the breakthrough is always going to be tough and for every Kieran Tierney, there are loads who don’t make the cut at Celtic.

That doesn’t mean their careers are over but they now have to go elsewhere to get their chance.

Regan Hendry seems to be in that bracket as the 21-year-old’s contract comes to an end this season. With no first team appearances to his name, Hendry, for whatever reason hasn’t made the cut. He now faces live outside Celtic for the first time apart from two separate loans to Raith Rovers.

According to SunSport, there will be no deal offered to extend Hendry’s stay at the Scottish Champions and he will move on.

It will be a scary and drastic time for the youngster who has only known Celtic as his club since turning professional. He has the talent to go make a name for himself elsewhere and we hope to see the young lad kick on after this disappointment.
