An English media outlet Bristol Live has printed the most outlandish of Celtic rumours without even realising their complete and utter stupidity.

It’s commonplace for Celtic and then the Ibrox club to be ‘linked’ with a plethora of players on the UK scene when there are Championship clubs looking at certain players.

However, this is a bridge too far for even the craziest of rumours and one that’s seemingly caught on among some on social media.

As Bristol Live discuss Bristol City’s transfer options this summer they write the following as an EXCLUSIVE.

“The club are tracking the 25-year-old former Boavista man, but there is competition from other Championship clubs.

“As there is for Aberdeen captain Graeme Shinnie, who is also interesting Celtic and Rangers but is another player of interest to City.”

We needed a lie down after reading this.

Celtic, the Scottish Champions are currently weighing up a move for Bristol City target Graeme Shinnie? Give me a break.

Shinnie is a player who wouldn’t even get into a mediocre Celtic side never mind one going for a rebel treble. He is a decent player for Aberdeen but will Celtic be chasing his signature? Not a chance!
