On Thursday evening, a journalist close to the Southampton camp reported that Josip Juranovic is on their list of potential transfer targets for the January window.

The St Mary‘s side are reportedly considering the Croatian professional as an option to bolster their squad.

The speculation surrounding Celtic defender Juranovic is intensifying, as it appears the club is aiming to sell him for the right price this month. With rumours circulating daily of potential destinations, it is no surprise that the press is eagerly searching for where he may end up.

The Athletic reports that the Premier League club is considering a variety of right-backs, among them Juranovic, as they return to their usual source of talent, which has previously yielded players such as Fraser Forster, Victor Wanyama, and Virgil van Dijk. This follows reports that Southampton was looking at Celtic attacker Daizen Maeda the previous week.

Celtic have recruited Alistair Johnston as the replacement for Josip. He has already made two appearances for the team and is likely to become the firstchoice right back.

Celtic fans are not overly concerned about the possibility of their Croatian defender leaving this month; however, they would like to be assured that the club will secure the highest possible price for him if he does depart.

A fee of £14m or more would be met with approval from most supporters and allow Celtic to effectively plan their transfer activities for the upcoming summer window and even next January.
