ADAM MONTGOMERY was part of the St Johnstone side who heaped more misery on Celtic’s Glasgow rivals by helping his loan club to a 2-1 victory in Perth.
The Celtic academy star is on loan for the full season to our fellow SPFL club and he certainly did his parent club a favour.
Adam knew he had to get out and get minutes under his belt this season in order to progress and he’s getting vital first team experience under Callum Davidson.
After the victory on Sunday, Adam took to social media to celebrate. Declaring he ‘enjoyed that one’. His social media feed was quickly filled up by Celtic fans but then former players, and current first team Celtic stars were commenting on the youngster’s post.
Scott Brown, Liel Abada, Josip Juranovic, Mikey Johnston and Ben Doak just some of the bhoys who congratulated Adam.
The result in Perth meant Celtic stretched their lead at the top to seven points. The bhoys had their own scare on Saturday when Dundee Utd managed to sneak an equaliser three minuted from time. The game was sitting at 2-2 with little time left on the clock, but Celtic still found a way to win the game – the match ending 4-2.
A good weekend for Adam and the bhoys.
