CHRIS SUTTON declared an ‘important 3 points’ for Celtic on Wednesday night as they closed the gap at the top of the table.

The bhoys got to make up one of their postponed games from last month and made the game count. They only one 2-1 in the end and weren’t as fluent as they were in Dingwall but they got the job done.

Sutton also commented on Shane Duffy who grabbed the equaliser after St Mirren took the lead.

Celtic could now go top of the table with a win against Livingston on Saturday. Their Glasgow rivals don’t play again until Sunday, for 24 hours, the two clubs will have played the same number of games.

A win on Saturday would put the pressure on at the top of the table and could set up an interesting month. Neil Lennon will be hoping for a better performance when the team get back to business at Celtic Park.
