Celtic won 2-0 against Aberdeen on Sunday to reach the Scottish cup final and a shot at more history.w

The bhoys will head to Hampden in December knowing a fourth consecutive treble is up for grabs against Hearts.

After their week of poor results, the team seem to be getting back to some order and showing what they can do. Aberdeen didn’t really get close to us on Sunday, a week after the two sides played out a 3-3 draw at Pittodrie.

The signs are good but Charlie Nicholas believes this season will be brutal for Neil Lennon and his teams and claims Lennon clearly listens to the critics if he’s out lambasting them in a press conference.

“Celtic should be applauded for reaching the Scottish Cup final – but if Lennon and his players think that feat will ease the pressure on them then they are badly mistaken.” Nicholas told The Daily mail as cited by SunSport.

“Lenny sent Leigh Griffiths out in front of the media last week to declare there is no crisis and that they don’t listen to the critics.

“The fact he even mentioned the critics proves they listen to them.

“There is no camouflaging things – this season is going to be brutal in terms of taking hard hits.

“What Celtic have to remember is that the criticism only comes their way when their results are poor.

“When they are winning games and things are going well then there are no shortage of compliments.

“I have said many times how envious I am of this team. There is no jealousy but there is envy.

“Envy is something you would have loved to have done but never achieved it.

“What they have achieved is quite incredible. Their domestic record is remarkable.

“Celtic normally handle the pressure better than any other team in the country but up until last Sunday they hadn’t been doing that.

“Celtic will feel they are on the way back after comfortably defeating Aberdeen 2-0 at Hampden to move a step closer to a quadruple treble.”

Celtic have Prague on Thursday followed by an away trip to Motherwell before the international break.

The team looks in good spirits.

Neil Lennon didn’t say anything about not listening to the critics, he merely said they had been over the top in their assessment of his team and considering they’re on course four their fourth consecutive treble, should command a bit more respect.

The final will be played on December 20th and could be an early Christmas present for the Hoops.

  1. Envious my arse Charles. You threw your wealth about like you had no arms, when you were young. You cheekie git. So take your opinion and suck it right back up your clinker funnel. And learn you have the capacity of poor social comentator. That you have in abundance. Go to the deaths and marriage section of your rag, as your wasted in your present one.
Celtic Ltd Pc. Need a little reminding of how they treated their public I agree. But not from a over paid primadonna like you. Although they did create your persona.
