The Celtic clearout will begin over the next four weeks and beyond. Some of the players need to be moved on and others want to move on.

Kristoffer Ajer is in the ‘wants to move on’ category as he approaches the final year of his Celtic deal.

The defender was part of the side who were skelped 4-1 on Sunday at the home of their rivals and has been part of this squad all season who haven’t been good enough.

According to Glasgow Live, the Celtic centre-back was scouted on Sunday by Newcastle Utd. It’s not the first time we’ve heard Newcastle linked with a move for the Norwegian.

The English club is apparently trying to land him on the cheap.

Even in the final year of his deal, Celtic should be looking for £10m plus for one of their top players.

If Newcastle or any other club low ball Celtic, I’d suggest Ajer staying one more year is worth more to the Hoops than a £5-8m transfer fee.

If clubs want the player then they will have to cough up a decent amount of cash.

  1. Start the fire sale move them out now give the new manager all the money from player sales and then put in as a top up of £30 million for fees and wages for 3 or 4 seasons for 8 players so make room for our new managers players bring it on Celtic make then dig deep as we want back what we lost…
