Journalist Stephen McGowan who gets a lot of Celtic scoops is today reporting the Parkhead club is now willing to listen to offers for Israeli winger Liel Abada.

It comes 24 hours after quotes from the president of Liel’s former club claimed the player had knocked back improved terms with the Scottish Champions with a view to moving on in the summer.

Liel signed under Ange Postecoglou when the Australian first came in the door. He has been brilliant for the club but has found himself more of a super sub than first team starter this term.

It’s always been Abada’s goal to play in the EPL and writing in today’s print edition of the Scottish Daily Mail, Southampton are keen on Liel. However; their EPL status is far from guaranteed. McGowan claims the English club are looking to table a £10m bid – also cited by RecordSport.

Would £10m be enough for Liel Abada?

We thought Josip Juranovic and Giorgos Giakoumakis would have left for more than they did. In the end, they were both modest fees. Given Liel’s age and upside, I’d like to think Celtic would be a bit more stubborn in their asking price.
