CELTIC have announced this Friday afternoon that there will be ZERO Celtic fans allowed to attend the game in Spain on Thursday after initially telling the Hoops faithful there would be.

Real Betis has told Celtic the local authority is now not allowing away fans into the ground and no tickets can change hands between the two clubs for the Europa league opener on Thursday.

Fans have been booking up for a trip to Spain in the hope they would land a ticket once Celtic got their briefs. Unfortunatley, any fan travelling will have to watch from outside the stadium unless they can find a way into the home end.

It’s a disatser for Celtic and the fans because there would have been supporters who did sign up to the trip because an away attendance was confirmed.

It shows you how fluid and quickly things can change with regards to football.

Fans who do make the trip will likely still make the best of it, but it’s hardly ideal.

  1. I’m glad we didn’t get tickets, the covid rate is rising every day in Scotland so it makes no sense to risk taking and bringing further instances into either country.
