CELTIC announced their ticket prices for the Europa League group stages last week and I don’t think there was a moan from many about the cost.

The club priced the competition correctly and if you’re an adult season ticket holder you will be able to pick up your three match package for a very reasonable £72. That works out at £24 per game. It’s only £57 for concessions and then £48 for juniors.

Again, a reasonable amount across the board.

But how do we fare against the other UK sides in the competition when it comes to pricing?

Well, let’s have a look.

Arsenal are in this year’s competition and their cheapest seats for all three games comes in at just £15.50 per adult and £4.75 for juniors.

Chelsea who have previously won this competition are charging £20 per adult per game with £5 for juniors.

While both Arsenal and Chelsea’s prices are lower than Celtic’s – it’s worth noting that this is their cheapest tickets and some of the more expensive seats will run quite considerably more depending on where you want to sit in the ground.

Last and by every means least, we have The Rangers ticket pricing.

The Ibrox three match package will run them £105 per adult and £72 concessions and kids are £48.

£105 – to put this into perspective, Celtic only charged their fans just £9 more than this last season to watch PSG, Bayern and Anderlecht.

Celtic fans can be thankful the powers that be don’t believe the club should be charging astronomical prices for the Europa League group stage.

Of course, when general sales occur the price will go up on all fronts.

One can only imagine how much the bears will extort their fans.

Celtic take on Leipzig, Salzburg and Rosenborg in the group stages – hoping a good showing will see them through to the knockout stage of the competition.

  1. The Currants, can afford such luxury as they all have better paid employment than the Hoops players, and we are their serfs (well so they sing about) Then they can sit in the death star and watch better teams fans than they procced in Europe. Like usual, robbing their fans and the fans of other clubs since 1873-2003-2011- —-.
