Real Betis right-back Hector Belerin has claimed that the pressure is on Celtic as the two sides prepare to face off in the Europa League on Thursday night.

As quoted by the Daily Record, the on-loan Arsenal star admitted he is looking forward to taking on ‘a special club’ but insisted that he believes the pressure will be on Celtic in the group stage opener.

Bellerin said: “To play against Celtic will be special because they’re such a big club with a big history.

“Celtic will be a tough rival, but I’m optimistic. At Betis, we’re obliged to get the three points.

“We have already watched the derby against Rangers, and that result puts pressure on Celtic.

“If we can dominate the ball against them, we can get the win we need. I’ve left Arsenal to win things with Real Betis. I’m not here for a holiday.”

Once again, Celtic have been handed a tough European group to face off with this season. However, I am sure Ange Postecoglou will be relishing taking to the European stage for the first time on Thursday.

It will be a tough start for his side, travelling to Seville to kick things off, but every tie in this group will likely be a tough one in this competition.

Fingers crossed, we can stand up to any sort of pressure we face and start the group positively with a good result.

  1. The pressure is on Real Betis it is there home game we go there into the game if we get any thing a draw or win we will be happy with they must come at us so spaces will open up for our players if we can keep it tight at the back and counterattack them then we could get a good result over there…
