Celtic are unbeaten in their last 12 home Scottish Premiership matches, conceding only three goals across these games.

Jota has been directly involved in eight goals in nine Scottish Premiership appearances this season (4 goals, 4 assists), although he has only one assist and no goals in four such games at Celtic Park. But that changed after 20 minutes today.

Celtic had an early scare with Joe Hart taking a shoulder to the side of the head. Luckily the big shot-stopper was able to continue after four minutes of treatment.

Jota has tormented Aberdeen players since the first whistle and on 20 minutes the on-loan winger hit the back of the net to give Celtic a 1-0 lead.

Ten minutes later Lewis Ferguson converted from the spot for the Dons to make it 1-1. John Hartson is not convinced by the decision at all while commenting on Celtic TV.

“There is no contact there at all. Abada does not touch Bates at all. But the referee could not point to the spot quick enough. Abada and Celtic have been hard done by.”

The rest of the half faded away as Aberdeen went back to an all-out defence. A lot more urgency is needed in the second half.

  1. Forget the penalty every referee in Scotland will award a penalty even if they run into a player in Celtics box .One thing that has concerned me in the last few games is the total lack of service to Kyogo. Our midfield and wingers seem too slow to react to Kyogo’s runs and this will hurt us big time in harder games A quality playmaker is required to feed the wee man as his movement deserves better. Ange please take note
