Former Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard has added to his Crystal Palace goal tally, pulling a goal back as the Selhurst Park side take on Liverpool.

Liverpool raced into a first-half lead, thanks to the contribution of another former Celt, who spent some time in the academy, with Andy Robertson providing two assists for the opening goals of the game.

However, Palace have brought themselves back into the game, setting up an interesting final 30 minutes or so of the fixture.

The former Hoops man played his part, tapping the ball home to reduce the deficit – proving his quality in the English Premier League once again. In his last four home games for his new side, Eddy now has six goal contributions.

Although his final season in the Green and White may have been disappointing, it is great to see another former Celtic player go and perform on the big stage, showing what the club can produce.

It is also undeniable that the 23-year old showed the great quality he possesses during his four-year stay in Glasgow.

English fans might not have expected the Frenchman to have an impact in his first season as a Premier League player. But, with his contributions in the Palace side, it would be fair to say he has shown that so far this campaign.
