Former Ibrox defender, RICHARD FOSTER has given Celtic’s Cameron Carter-Vickers some advice on his future after putting in a starring display at Ibrox.

The defender arrived at Celtic on loan in the summer. However, the Scottish club do have the option to buy the CCV. It’s thought that The Hoops are locked in negotiations with Spurs, the American’s parent club, over how a payment could be structured. The fee Celtic agreed with the London club is around £6 million, but there have been suggestions that it could rise to eight figures.

Cameron has been solid all season for Celtic, getting on the scoresheet along the way. At the back, himself and Starfelt have been sound, maintaining the best defensive record in the league.

Carter-Vicker’s performances have been so impressive that he’s been linked with various moves down south. Some supporters have been worried that Cameron may have turned his head, but Sunday’s performance demonstrated he is currently committed to Celtic.

“Those teams – Leicester, Burnley and Wolves – I personally don’t get why he’d leave Celtic to go and play at those clubs,”

“Stay at Celtic, win championships, play in the Champions League. I just think go and play in the Champions League and do well, and you’ll get a better move than a Wolves or Burnley.”

Richard is correct, but it’s surprising to see a former Ibrox player willing a top defender to stay at Celtic.

The Champions League could be the key for Carter-Vickers and his Celtic stay. The money for reaching the group stage would mean the Bhoys could afford to splash the cash and a run in Europe’s elite competition would dwarf a mid-table Premier League fight.

  1. Richard said it as it is, and that is good and how it should be you give 100% to the club you are playing for but you never show biased to any player or team when you become a football pundit….
