GRAEME SOUNESS has given a touching tribute to Billy McNeill as the former Ibrox manager was on pundit duty for Virgin Media Sport.

The staunch ex-Gers player and manager took special time to praise an old foe and not just in a footballing sense but praising McNeill’s character as a man.

The Celtic family are reeling after they lost two lions within the same week with Cesar and Stevie Chalmers both passing away.

The outpouring of emotion, support and respect for both men has been quite incredible and Souness’ words are absolutely spot on.

When people talk about McNeill they talk of a gentleman, a man with a genuine presence but also an unassuming and humble person. He lived and breathed Celtic for his entire life and reached the pinnacle of any Celtic fan’s wildest dreams!

We get to Cesar off in a big way this Friday when the fans will line the streets for his funeral.
