Ex Oldco Star Thomas Buffel has warned Anderlecht they’re in for a tough night in the East End of Glasgow.

The Belgian praised the Celtic support and the atmosphere they create.

Speaking to Belgian news site Het Belang van Limburg the ex pro was in no doubt about the challenge Anderlecht face.

“First and foremost, the stadium is always packed, 60,000 Scots who sing loudly, that makes an impression.

“Furthermore, the overwhelming majority of the fans come from the working class. They are atmosphere makers.

“Their collection of battle songs is impressive. The stands are also designed so that you have a 360 degree ambiance and passion. So it seems like you don’t have to take on 12, but are against 14 men.”

A draw would do Celtic tonight in their quest for a Europa League place. Anderlecht must win big in Glasgow to snatch that place from Celtic.
