It was only weeks ago Daniel Arzani was touted to be heading back to Manchester City in January but now there are rumours the player is very close to getting into the first team squad.

Celtic fans have been buzzing at the prospect of the young World Cup Star pulling on the Hoops and playing for the first team but Rodgers has said on several occasions that we must be patient while the Celtic coaches build him up.

The main problem with throwing Arzani straight into the deep end was his lack of game time.

The Celtic manager pointing out Arzani has yet to play 90 minutes of top-flight football in his career.

With Celtic having the player on a two-year loan, Rodgers can afford to be patient and the midfielder seems to be willing to work hard to break his way into the first team.

Arzani had been playing for the Reserves up until the last two reserve games but has not been seen training with the younger side.

The Australian was spotted at Murrayfield last week when Celtic were training instead of playing in the Reserve League and again this morning at Lennoxtown.

It’s though Rodgers may be ready to slowly introduce the player into the fold in the coming months.

Exciting times ahead.
