We chatted to the former Celtic star about all things Celtic including the massive semi-final on Sunday.
Sid can’t be more complimentary of the job Ange Postecoglou has done at Celtic to this point. The biggest thing for the former Hoops man is the recruitment that’s been done by the manager.

Praising Hatate, Simon went on to wax lyrical about the squad as a whole and the difference it’s made to the mood around Lennoxtown, Celtic Park and among the supporters.
Simon branded Ange and Celtic’s recruitment as ‘unbelievable’ citing the fact we brought Kyogo in who has been our star striker but when he got injured, Giakoumakis stepped up.
“This record that Postecoglou’s got right now with the recruitment is unbelievable.” Simon told CeltsArehere.
These guys have come in; Giakoumakis took a wee bit of time, granted – he was behind the boys in terms of fitness. He missed a crucial penalty against Livingston that probably affected his confidence at a new club trying to make a name for himself.
“My goodness, since the turn of the year, he’s fitted in there to the point we didn’t miss Kyogo”
The disappointment of last season where like your Forrest and McGregor’s were asked to go over it again and again – these guys must have got a huge lift with these players coming in.
“They’ll have lifted the whole squad and training, and they’re lifting what we’re seeing out on the pitch”
Celtic have had more hits than misses this season when it comes to recruitment. It was said by many at the start of the season, that Celtic would have to have a near-perfect couple of transfer windows to even compete for the League title. They have actually managed it and the squad appears to be peaking at the right time.
