THE SYDNEY CUP ORGANISERS are in talks with Inter Milan as they look to replace The Rangers after pulling out of Ange’s Homecoming Tour.

The tournament is set to take place down under in November this year, whilst the World Cup is taking place.

Celtic and The Rangers were due to join Sydney FC and Western Sydney Wanderers in the friendly competition. However, backlash from fans in Glasgow led to the Ibrox side pulling the plug.

Now, CeltsAreHere understands that Inter Milan is in talks to replace the Ibrox side.

Interestingly, Celtic could potentially draw the Italian side, who will fight for the title on Sunday, in the Champions League group stage next season. The team is projected to join pot three.

It will be a great pull, watching the two sides of Celtic’s famous European Cup win play against each other.

The last time Celtic met Inter Milan in Europe was in the Europa League round of 32 in 2015. The Bhoys earned a six-goal thriller draw at home before they were defeated 1-0 in the return leg.

  1. Inter is a better choice than he new Rangers. Or as they are now being accused of being Performance enhanced Rangers. Were any of their players drug-tested after yesterday’s game? Questions being asked as certain players including one of yesterdays scorers have apparently packed on kilos of muscle in a matter of weeks. Is this the latest scandal to engulf Cheat FC? Will we ever find out as the SFA have previous for engaging in cover-ups to protect the corrupt entity.
