Football is a funny old game.

Fraser Forster left Celtic two seasons ago to head back to the Premier League, after the debacle of Vasilis Barkas, Joe Hart joined Celtic from Spurs last summer to fill the gap left by Fraser. Now, it looks like Fraser is about to take up Joe Hart’s Spurs role!

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed the Englishman is set to become a Tottenham player under the provision he will be a backup.

Joe’s role at Spurs was to play back up but he didn’t feature much and when he was told there was no chance of any game time whatsoever, he decided he wasn’t done. Celtic got in touch and Hart didn’t need much convincing to head north.

It’s turned out to be a brilliant move for the former English international and Celtic. Winning the league in Joe’s first season has been an amazing achievement.

On Fraser’s part, English goalkeepers have carved out a good niche in the EPL with clubs needing to make a quota of English based players.

He’ll make a good living, live in London and sit on the bench with not much pressure.
