VALENCIA ran out deserved winners at Celtic Park on Thursday night, winning 2-0 against a hapless Celtic side.

The bhoys looked out of ideas and Valencia boxed very clever to earn their win in Glasgow.

It was a frustrating night for fans who watched the team make the same mistakes over and over again as they looked out of ideas early on. Valencia came with a game plan and were patient waiting for their breakthrough which eventually came with a swift counterattack.

Even though it wasn’t the result Celtic fans wanted, it was heartening to see both sets of fans showing each other a bit of love after the match with the BT cameras catching a Celtic fan and Valencia fan embracing at full time.

Celtic fans will still head over to Spain in their numbers to see the bhoys away from home. Progression looks very unlikely but the support will always back the bhoys.

  1. If we ever get back in to the CL then the best i can see us do is drop back for two games in the last 32 EL nothing more some times less than that, what we need to do is buy in seasoned pros for the back line who we have are good players in Scotland and most of the UK but not at those levels of CL and EL good luck to any Celtic that goes to another club as last night showed us not many will make it from our back line.
Any ways big game this week end a must win now put it this way if we can not beat Kilmarnock away then most players need dropped and paid off…

  2. Respect, soundly beaten by a much better squad. And their team will score more in Espania. They even joined in wae ‘Walk On’.
