Scott Brown has told the Celtic View he has a massive amount of respect for former Celtic and Scotland manager Gordon Strachan when asked about influential people in his career.

The Celtic captain was brought to Parkhead by Strachan for £4.4million in 2007 and the rest is history.

With Broony already a club legend the midfielder has given the wee man special recognition for club and country.

Brown was in no doubt who to mention when he asked who he respects highly in the game:

“Gordon Strachan. He was the one that put a lot of faith by signing me 11 seasons ago, then made me Scotland captain”

“He’s either put a lot of faith in me, or he’s shown his stupidity – one or the other”

Scott Brown has missed Celtic’s last six games through injury but made the flight to Norway on Wednesday with a view to playing a part in Celtic’s Europa League away day against Rosenborg.

A win would be vital for Celtic in the chase for European football beyond Christmas.

Brown may not start the match but he may play some part in proceedings.
