Since his first season as part of the Hearts squad, left-back Aaron Hickey has been linked several times with a move to Celtic – where he spent some time in the academy before moving back to the Tynecastle side.

The Bologna full-back has started the season well, scoring two goals in his eight appearances so far.

Those performances have also brought around interest from English Premier League sides such as Aston Villa, and a report from Sun Sport has once again linked the Hoops with interest in bringing the 19-year old back to Glasgow.

Last summer, it looked like there could have been the possibility of Hickey joining the club after heavy interest and rumours at the beginning of the window.

However, he ended up staying in Italy and is now is reaping the rewards of regular first-team football in the Serie A.

With that at such a young age comes interest from several big sides across Europe, and it is no surprise to see Celtic mentioned again due to the heavy interest in the past.

Come to the next two windows; it will be interesting to see which teams might attempt to make a move for the talented Scottish youngster.
