Many Celtic fans are tired of people calling them entitled either directly or indirectly because they believe change is needed. This is a fan base who backed Neil Lennon back in 2011 when he lost the league on the final day of the season when they looked good to win a few weeks prior. They could see Neil was building something and gave him their backing.

It’s the same fanbase who clapped Brendan Rodgers side off the pitch at Tynecastle after their invincible run came to an emphatic end at the hands of Hearts.

It’s a fan base who recognise bad results from a bad situation and right now we’re in a bad situation and need change.

18 years in a job as a CEO is unheard of in football for the most part. At some point, you become jaded and insulated from what’s going on. With a football club, it’s a business but it’s also a place thousands of people pour their hard-earned cash and their heart and soul into. The club skews too heavily towards the business side of things, and the heart of Celtic has been lost along the way. We didn’t notice or simply didn’t care because we were winning. The erosion between the fans and the club hasn’t happened overnight and there needs to be an acceptance that change is needed.

Self-preservation from the men inside Celtic Park is driving them, not Celtic’s best interests.

We have a reactive CEO and not a proactive CEO. We have a reactive manager instead of a proactive manager.

The gall they now have to keep the Celtic fans hanging on to what they’re going to do next speaks to a much large issue. This regime has had its day, its successes and its failures.

In the wellness of time, both Neil Lennon and Peter Lawwell will have their place in the Celtic story. Neil is a legend and I’d like to go back to a place where fans can appreciate that. Peter Lawwell has been a good businessman for Celtic but his priorities are not in sync with even the most pragmatic of supporter. His involvement in the football side of things has been a burden to the club.

It’s time to balance the scales between business and football. It’s time to look to the next phase of Celtic success.

  1. Celtic are, and always will be a selling club.
Supporters have been complaining, since the year 1887, otherwise Celticfc.coy may never got formed.
The complainers have been ignored every year since 1994, and then a boardroom clear out was required. Well unlike the desheveled team back in the early 20’s, 30’s etc to the 90’s, Celtic have the chance of tuning around the rot that has set into this squad of players, but sought not to, or address the boardroom. Nothing wrong with making massive profits each year by player sales and success. What’s needed is one kick in the head year. For better results on the field of play. ‘That reveloution starts today’ not tomorrow’
