FILIP BENKOVIC has been RELEASED from his Leicester City contract and is now free to find a new club in the January window.
The news came out of the blue on Wednesday evening. The Croatian was never thought of as a first-team player by Brendan Rodgers at the English club.
Once upon a time, the Irishman brought Filip to Glasgow.
Filip Benković has left Leicester City, after the Club and the player mutually agreed to cancel the remaining term of his contract.
Best of luck in the future, Filip ?

The natural thing to do would be to link Filip with Celtic now he is a free agent but there might be a reason why the defender has been released early from his contract.
We also can’t afford to sign any passengers who could spend more time out injured than on the pitch.
There’s no doubt the defender would be a great player for Celtic if he could stay fit but there are question marks over how many games he could play and given we play an intense style of football under Anger, it hardly seems like an ideal fit.
We wish Filip all the best as he looks for a new club.
There’s rumours of a move to Udinese.
Bring him home ?♂️
Tempted to agree as I thought he was a class act but not convinced it makes sense now
