FILIP BENKOVIC has told Celtic fans he hopes he won’t be out for too much longer as he continues to progress with his injury.

There was concern at one point back in January the player could be out for the rest of the season. Thankfully, Filip is expected to be back in March ahead of some very tasty ties as Celtic chase a triple treble.

Filip believes his injury won’t see him out for too long and how he’s looking forward to getting back out onto the field and help the club progress.

“Before the injury, everything was super, I was just too happy.” he told SunSport.

“Regardless of the injury that, I hope, will not keep me out from the field for too long, I enjoy everything.

“The matches up here play at a constant speed, every two of three days. Of course, I believe that I will continue to progress and that my performance will be even better.”

The Celtic defender also expressed he will most likely be leaving in the summer to pursue Premier League football with his parent club Leicester.

The Croatian was purchased by the former EPL Champions and loaned straight out to Celtic as he wasn’t expected to feature much this season for the Foxes.

He will be in a much better position going into next season having had his season with Celtic where the defender already has one winners medal with another two up for grabs.
