It appears we have got the first player to show his hand after Celtic’s shocking defeat at the hands of the Hungarian champions on Wednesday night. Neil Lennon told players who don’t want to be here to leave and I think we’ll see an uptake from certain members of our squad.

The Herald is now reporting Kristoffer Ajer’s representatives have contacted Celtic for a valuation of the player so they can manufacture a move for Kristoffer.

This should come as no surprise to readers of our site. Ajer’s previous agent already tipped his hand back in March with the Norwegian then dumping that agent for a big agency.

It would explain why Kristoffer has been on the bench recently and why Celtic are chasing a central defender of Shane Duffy’s calibre.

Celtic will expect decent money for Ajer but the report claims the club have refused to give a valuation. Smart strategy, if the club themselves put a ceiling in his selling potential, it wouldn’t make much sense.
