In all the noise the past two weeks and everything that’s gone on, it’s easy to miss something.

There are players at the club who know they’re just waiting on a club to come in for them or riding down their contract.

However, there’s one player we know very little about both on the field and off it – Kundai Benyu.

The player was signed for Celtic last summer and got 6 months under his belt at Celtic Park before being sent off to get first team football with Oldham.

His loan move was a disaster and he only ever start 4 games for the lower league English side before falling to the bench and then eventually to the stands.

To say it was a waste of everybody’s time is an understatement.

We did see the midfielder back in training with the Celtic’s squad in pre-season and he even got a selfie with French Eddy to prove he was still around but other than that we’ve not seen or heard from the former Ipswich man.

Right now, it looks like he has no chance of breaking through into the Celtic developmental side never mind the first team.

Has Rodgers lost faith in his man or have they decided he’s not good enough under close inspection from the coaching staff.

Whatever it seems to me it’s another black mark against the recruitment team who brought Benyu in last summer.

At the age of 20, he needs to be developing more and right now it’s hard to see or note any progress.
