Celtic youngster Johnathan Afolabi is reportedly set for a season-long loan move to Scottish Championship club, Dundee.

According to the Daily Record, the Republic of Ireland striker is set to complete the move to the Tayside club.

The 20-year old joined the hoops last summer on a three-year deal from English Premier League Southampton and looked to be a bit of a coup for the Celts.

In January, he also completed a similar loan move to Dundee joining fellow Championship side, Dunfermline.

The move appeared to be going well with Afolabi, contributing to three goals in six games for the Pars. Of course, though, the move was unfortunately cut short due to the Coronavirus pandemic which kicked off in February.

It looks like a good loan move for the striker, who is in desperate need of first-team minutes. Hopefully, he can gain some good experience can come back a better player, who could potentially be an option in the near future for Neil Lennon’s side.
