FORGOTTEN midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu and Kundai Benyu have got starts for Celtic today in their Reserve League match against Partick Thistle.

Kundai played the last developmental game also but Mulumbu comes into the fold, presumably to get some game time in case a transfer move becomes available as we approach the deadline.

Mulumbu’s time at Celtic has not gone well since the player tore up the SPFL last season with Kilmarnock. The midfielder has only managed three appearances for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers let it be known he was available to head out on-loan.

Benyu has not been heard of since his failed Oldham loan last season. The player has not been mentioned at all by the Irishman and it looks like after an initial bounce he got from Rodgers when Kundai first came in, there’s not much there at the moment.

Both get valuable game time this afternoon.
