Former £5.67million man and Celtic striker Gary Hooper has been angling for a return to the club in recent weeks and last night he really ramped up his efforts to get noticed by the club.

The 31-year-old is now out of contract after leaving Sheffield Wednesday and is looking for a new club and the striker is dreaming of a Parkhead return.

The Englishman is on holiday at the minute but he has been on his Instagram and reposting images from Celtic fans who want him back. The last image he reposted to his Instagram story was one Celtic account saying they’d love to see him back wearing the Hoops

Hooper left Celtic back in 2013 and said it was a difficult decision to do so at the time. The striker wanted an England call up and knew it wasn’t going to come at Celtic so he signed for Norwich with the bhoys picking up a large chunk of change for the player.

Since then he’s played most of his football in the Championship and at the age of 31 – is he even worth a punt?

  1. Bring him in if wages are doable that makes four not for two top CHs a RB and a LB…. and we need a hard holding midfielder to give SB club captain a rest,so that is five in do it Celtic give the man £20 MILLION to bring the dream home….

  2. For the same reasons I said I don’t want lenny as manager. They are both celtic past. And we have got to be looking forwards. I loved them both first time around. But there they should stay. HH.
